The role involves testing firmware and building automation to ensure high quality for next-generation devices, focusing on user experience and collaboration with development teams.

Responsibilities
Learn how embedded systems and firmware work together
Help test sensors and firmware to meet quality standards
Work with development teams to understand and test new features
Write automated test scripts
Run manual and automated tests on prototypes
Document test cases and results
Help build test tools and fixtures
Track and report issues to help drive them to resolution
Collaborate with User Study teams to understand how people use our devices
Qualification
Required
Interest in quality engineering and creative testing approaches
Comfortable working with early hardware prototypes
Eager to learn new skills and share knowledge with teammates
Coding experience, solid fundamentals with Python or similar scripting languages
Experience in working with embedded systems and sensors
Basic understanding of serial communication (I2C, SPI, UART)
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Engineering degree (CS, EE, CE, etc), engineering related courses or related work experience
Preferred
Past work experience in firmware or embedded systems
Quality or Test experience, designing robust frameworks of test suites
Familiarity with Mac, iOS, or UNIX systems
Basic knowledge of debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes)
Experience with automation or continuous integration
