Customer Service Representative/Logistics

D.M. Bowman, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to handle a variety of front-facing duties. This role involves interacting with customers via phone, in person, and email while maintaining professionalism and supporting the company's operations.

Responsibilities

Answers incoming customer calls regarding inventory questions, orders for outbound shipment, order status, invoicing and billing issues, product problems, service questions and general client concerns
Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and working to establish a positive rapport with every caller
Update customer information in the customer service database in a timely and accurate manner
Work with the management team to stay updated on new customers, customer activity, product and industry knowledge and be informed of any changes in company policies
Impact the company’s bottom line by problem solving and turning frustrated clients into repeat, long-term customers
Remains flexible with work scheduled hours and overtime as scheduled
Develops and maintains logistics forms and standard operating procedures
Processes daily data entry for inbound receipts and outbound shipments
Initiate daily stow audits and reconcile results, making Logistics Manager aware of any discrepancies
Coordinates with Logistics Manager and warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of shipping and receiving documents along with any other questions or concerns about customers’ orders or inventory
Utilize other systems as provided by Bowman or a customer
Manage office supplies
Other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or GED
Strong communication skills
Self-starter mentality
Strong computer skills; including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Team oriented
Must be at least 18 years or older

Preferred

1+ years of customer service experience within the logistics field
