Tax Preparer
PrismHR is a fast-growing, high-energy tax firm committed to accuracy and exceptional client service. They are seeking an experienced, bilingual Tax Preparer to join their in-office team, responsible for preparing accurate individual and business tax returns and handling complex filings.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and compliant individual and business tax returns
Handle complex filings including Trusts, Estates, Foreign Income, FBAR/FinCEN 114, and multi-state returns
Conduct tax interviews with clients in both English and Spanish
Review financial records, receipts, statements, and supporting documents
Provide tax planning guidance and identify potential credits and deductions
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information
Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of recent experience preparing both personal and business tax returns
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, ProSeries, etc.)
Ability to work in person at our office location
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
Preferred
EA (Enrolled Agent) credential
Experience preparing Trust & Estate tax returns
Experience with FBAR and foreign income reporting
Experience with IRS correspondence or audit support
Experience working in a high-volume tax office
