Senior Workday Techno-Functional Consultant
HCLTech is seeking a Senior Techno-Functional Workday HCM Consultant to lead HR modernization and optimization initiatives. The role involves end-to-end ownership of the HR application portfolio, enhancing employee experience, standardizing processes, and delivering reporting standardization across HR.

Responsibilities
Lead Workday HCM Delivery: Own end-to-end Workday implementations and optimizations—discovery, fit-gap, solution design, configuration oversight, testing, cutover, and hypercare
Techno-Functional Solution Design: Translate Hire-to-Retire needs into Workday Business Processes, security roles, org structures, data model, and configuration-ready designs
Process Standardization & Controls: Drive standardization across HR processes, approvals, and data definitions; establish governance and release/change impact management
Integrations & HR Tech Ecosystem: Define integration requirements and partner with technical teams on interfaces across payroll, benefits, identity, and downstream systems
Workday Reporting & Insights: Define reporting strategy, dashboards, and workforce metrics using Workday reporting/analytics (plus Power BI/Tableau/Visier where applicable)
Workday AI & Automation Enablement: Identify and implement AI/automation use cases within Workday (e.g., intelligent insights, next-best actions, anomaly/quality signals, automated workflows) to improve EX, efficiency, and decision-making
Stakeholder Leadership: Facilitate workshops and decision forums with HR leadership, CoEs, Shared Services, and HRIT; drive crisp decisions and executive readouts
Team & Delivery Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams (functional, integrations, reporting, change) and mentor consultants to ensure high-quality outcomes
Pre-sales Support (Selective): Support solutioning, estimations, and RFP inputs for Workday HCM opportunities
Qualification
Required
12–15 years in HR transformation/HCM consulting with strong Workday HCM techno-functional experience
Led Workday implementations/enhancements end-to-end: fit-gap, solution design, configuration oversight, testing, cutover, and hypercare
Strong Hire-to-Retire knowledge and ability to translate HR needs into Workday BPs, security, and reporting
Working knowledge of HR compliance and Shared Services/CoE/HRBP operating models
Exposure to integrations and people analytics (Workday reporting + Power BI/Tableau/Visier)
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field
Preferred
Tier-1/Big 4 consulting experience preferred
Master's preferred
Workday certification(s) preferred (e.g., HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent/Performance, Reporting)
Familiarity with HR analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Visier, and/or Workday reporting/Prism (if applicable)
