Responsibilities
Partner closely with the Co-CEOs and leadership team to own Alinea’s financial function end-to-end
Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning , translating financial data into clear, actionable business insights
Own the month-end close, financial statements, and performance reporting , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity
Design, build, and scale financial systems and processes that support growth across product, marketing, and operations
Own user acquisition and growth financing forecasts , partnering with marketing and growth teams to model CAC, payback, and capital efficiency
Help Alinea scale profitably , with deep focus on unit economics, pricing strategy, and spend efficiency
Proactively identify and execute cost-saving opportunities across the P&L, including vendor and SaaS negotiations
Manage cash flow, runway planning, scenario modeling , and capital allocation decisions
Oversee crypto float management , including forecasting, reconciliation, and risk considerations tied to on-platform balances
Ensure tax, compliance, and regulatory oversight appropriate for a regulated fintech environment
Support fundraising and investor relations , including diligence, board materials, and ongoing investor reporting
Build and manage external finance partners (accounting, payroll, tax, audit) and, over time, grow the internal finance team
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, investment banking, or related roles
Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment (Series A - C preferred)
Strong foundation in financial operations, forecasting, and modeling
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (modeling, scenarios, pivots, formulas)
Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with complex datasets
Clear communication skills - you can translate numbers into insights for non-finance teammates
A proactive, ownership-driven mindset: you spot issues early and fix them
Comfort operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratch
Experience managing or analyzing crypto-related balances, float, or treasury operations
Familiarity with cohort-based financing, revenue-based financing, or other alternative capital structures
Exposure to fintech, financial services, or regulated environments
