Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to internal teams in support of production, maintenance, and project initiatives
Monitor operations through reports, meetings, and direct engagement to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Ensure the electrical engineering department is fully capable of supporting all plant operations through effective staffing, training, and continuous improvement
Develop, manage, and oversee the electrical portion of the capital and operating budgets
Serve as project engineer on selected capital or operational projects, providing technical guidance and leadership
Drive continuous improvement in team performance, electrical safety, technical knowledge, and overall production efficiency
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, environmental regulations, and plant utilization goals through proper planning, design, and installation
Identify safety concerns, participate in incident investigations, and support corrective action initiatives
Perform additional duties as required by leadership
Partner with senior leadership to develop and recommend departmental budgets and long-term operational objectives
Identify training needs and support professional development initiatives
Promote and uphold organizational values, policies, and programs across the team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
5–10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering leadership within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of project engineering, plant construction practices, and equipment installation
Proficiency in engineering and project management software
Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and environmental regulations
Flexibility to respond to emergencies and work off-shift hours as needed
Willingness to travel for projects and meetings at other locations
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) designation
Experience in metals, mining, cement, or related industries
