LifePath is focused on providing dynamic programming for older adults and individuals with dementia. The Program Engagement Assistant will assist with the operations of the Community Engagement Center, ensuring a safe and engaging environment while supporting caregivers and facilitating activities for participants.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe environment
Serve snacks and meals
Lead group activities in an organized manner
Actively engage participants throughout the day
Observation and oversight of participants for their safety
Encourage participants to do tasks as independently as possible
Assist participants as needed, including hands-on assistance with toileting and transfers
Participate in agency training and meetings as requested
Demonstrate commitment to our mission, values, and principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and well-being
Use of personal cell phone, data plans, and downloading of company app required
Other related duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year experience working with older adults and people living with dementia or home health aide experience
Ability to interact with people who are living with dementia individually and in groups
Good listening and engagement skills
Comfort with providing some personal care assistance
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
Understanding of group dynamics
Enthusiastic about providing programs to older adults
Ability to follow and respond to instruction
Ability to work in a changing environment based on participant needs

Preferred

ServSafe Food Handler certification
