Deputy Director of Budget Review

The Deputy Director of Budget Review will oversee budget approval processes and provide technical assistance to stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate budget management.

Responsibilities
Lead strategic and administrative functions of the Budget Review sub-unit
Provide direct supervision of Budget Associates engaged in the budget approval process
Supervise the approval process for all budgets and budget modifications received by the budget unit, ensuring that all budgets and budget modifications are approved in an accurate and appropriately timely manner in CCMS, CM and PASSPort
Provide technical assistance to Providers, Program Managers and internal and external stakeholders on budget related issues
Attend meetings and deliver budget training workshops at all internal and external locations
Participate in work groups as needed to remain updated on all programmatic developments agency wide
Create PowerPoint presentations and other materials as needed and in a timely and accurate manner
Complete related special projects at the request of the Unit Directors
Qualification
Required
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of full-time, satisfactory professional, technical or administrative experience in one or more of the following fields: program evaluation, contract negotiations/management, business or public administration, contract community relations, or related fields; at least eighteen months must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or supervising professional personnel performing work in program evaluation, contract negotiation/management, business or public administration; or
A four year high school diploma, or its equivalent, and six years of full-time, professional, technical or administrative work experience in one or more of the fields cited above; at least eighteen months must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or supervising professional personnel as described in '1' above; or
A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience as cited above. However, all candidates must have the eighteen months of administrative, managerial or executive experience or experience supervising professional personnel as described in '1' above
Preferred
Experience supervising professional staff
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Motivated self-starter and team player
Well organized and detailed oriented
Computer literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft: Word, Excel, and Outlook
