Law Practice
Responsibilities
Provide legal, regulatory, and business research support to attorneys
Assist lawyers with preparing and filing legal documents such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda
Prepare affidavits or other documents, maintain document file, and file pleadings with the court clerk
Draft, edit, and review legal documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
Gather, analyze, and summarize legal research, including statutes, case law, and legal articles
Investigate facts and legal issues to support case preparation
Interview clients by phone or in person and assist with client intake when required
Support attorneys by researching legal precedents and case-related information
They may have to travel to various courts to accompany their organization's lawyers, and they may have to train and coach new or more junior paralegals
Qualification
Required
2-5 years of litigation experience
The ability to work on-site in LA three days a week
Preferred
Utility or energy industry exposure
