Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team by providing clear direction, ongoing support, and performance guidance
Establish, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance company-wide
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation and account reconciliations
Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity
Manage lender and investor reporting, including covenant compliance certificates, construction loan draw packages, and required financial statements
Partner with external auditors and tax advisors to support audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of required financial information
Work cross-functionally with internal teams to improve workflows, enhance efficiency, and standardize processes
Collaborate with the accounting team to align practices and ensure consistency across global operations
Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership and department heads to support decision-making and optimize financial performance
Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
Stay current on industry developments and best practices, proactively implementing improvements as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting leadership role
Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices
Solid understanding of property accounting and real estate finance
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office applications
