Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of security engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
Plan, execute, and deliver complex security projects, including penetration tests, security architecture reviews, and the implementation of new security controls
Serve as the company's subject matter expert on product and application security, providing technical guidance and making key decisions on security architecture and strategy
Lead the design and implementation of secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including threat modeling, code review, and security testing
Oversee and participate in penetration testing and red team exercises to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in our products and infrastructure
Conduct risk assessments, prioritize threats, and work with engineering teams to develop and implement effective remediation strategies
Partner with engineering, IT, and other teams to ensure that security is a primary consideration in all aspects of our products and services
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on product and application security
2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven ability to lead and mentor a team of security engineers
Strong technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: C, C++, ARM, cryptography, PKI, embedded systems security
Demonstrated experience leading penetration tests, threat modeling, and security assessments
Strong understanding of security best practices, frameworks, and secure architecture design
U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
Preferred
Experience in the aerospace or telecommunications industry is a plus
Familiarity with cloud-native attack vectors (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Published security research or participation in bug bounty programs
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
