Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert for solid oral dosage forms (tablets and capsules)
Lead formulation development and optimization for poorly soluble compounds, including dissolution and solubility enhancement strategies
Provide technical guidance on granulation, tableting, and encapsulation processes, including high shear wet granulation and dry granulation approaches
Deliver practical shop floor troubleshooting and manufacturing guidance to CMOs
Support scale-up, technology transfer, and launch readiness activities across manufacturing sites
Contribute to process validation, post-approval scale-up, and commercial operations support
Prepare and support product development and regulatory documentation as needed
Provide pragmatic GMP-compliant solutions appropriate for a fast-moving, small-company environment
Participate in technical project meetings

Required

BS Degree 15+ years of industry experience minimum; advanced degree preferred
Extensive, recent hands-on experience with solid oral dosage manufacturing (majority of experience in oral solids required)
Strong practical experience working with CMOs and commercial manufacturing operations
Expertise in formulation development for poorly soluble drug products
Experience with high shear wet granulation, dry granulation, tablet compression, and encapsulation processes
Experience supporting scale-up, technology transfer, process validation, and commercial launch activities
Ability to operate effectively in a lean, fast-paced biotech environment while maintaining GMP standards
