Employee Relations Specialist
Terumo Medical Corporation is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace culture, and they are seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to serve as a strategic advisor and case manager within their HR service delivery model. This role involves managing complex associate relations issues, ensuring compliance, and enhancing organizational performance through effective communication and policy development.
Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to associates and leaders in the business, providing guidance on performance-related matters
Lead complex investigations and manage cases through resolution in partnership with HR, Legal, and business stakeholders
Analyze trends, update policies, ensure legal alignment across jurisdictions
Guide HRBPs and managers
Develop and deliver messaging for organizational changes and associate relations
Partners with HRBP and Data Analytics to support HR analytics and metrics to help with HR data communications and for effective decision-making
Provide guidance and occasional training to HRBPs and people managers, as required
Work with Legal, Compliance, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to align practices
Conduct thorough investigations, synthesize findings, and produce legally sound reports and recommendations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and Title VII
Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and HR Centers of Excellence to align practices with regulatory and cultural standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5-7+ years of progressive HR experience, with 3+ years in associate relations or HRBP roles
Proven experience leading complex investigations and advising leadership, with demonstrated ability to manage the full scope of employee relations responsibilities with precision, discretion, and strategic judgment
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and Title VII
Preferred
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification strongly preferred
Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, pharma) is a plus
