The intern will gain hands-on experience in firmware development, supporting testing of firmware issues and lifecycle management processes.

Responsibilities
Support the implementation of firmware development workflows and release lifecycle management processes
Develop test cases & update a tool for actual product development
Triage and root cause system, driver and device interoperability issues
Development and debugging of firmware and software for SSD products
Debug, optimize & validate/test SSD firmware on embedded multi-core architectures
Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or software-focused Electrical Engineering
Must have at least 1 academic quarter/semester remaining
Familiarity with firmware development concepts and embedded systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
Knowledge of C/C++ development for embedded systems, including storage devices and other embedded platforms is desirable
Knowledge or Experience with ARM or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures & experience with JTAG/ICE debuggers & protocol analyzers is desirable
Scripting experience in one of Python/Perl/JavaScript is desirable
