Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Doherty, Wallace, Pillsbury & Murphy, P.C. is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to provide transactional support for property acquisitions, financing, dispositions, and leasing matters. The role involves overseeing title work, coordinating closings, drafting documents, and working directly with attorneys, lenders, and clients.

Responsibilities
Prepare title rundowns, title commitments, title policies, settlement statements and closing disclosures
Coordinate with title companies, lenders, municipal offices, and opposing counsel to clear title issues
Draft and prepare real estate transaction documents, including settlement statements, deeds, assignments, mortgages, discharge documents, UCC filings, and closing checklists
Assist in commercial lease drafting, review, and abstracting
Prepare and manage closing binders; handle recording and follow-up with Massachusetts registries of deeds and the Land Court
Conduct due diligence, including municipal research (taxes, permits, zoning, utilities)
Organize and maintain real estate files and document tracking systems
Assist with corporate documentation related to real estate transactions (entity authorization docs, certificates, etc.)
Assist with residential real estate transactions as needed
General corporate law matters, including entity formation, amendments, dissolutions, mergers, review and update of minute books and stock ledgers, preparing authorizing resolutions, documenting equity transfers, Certificates of Good Standing, IRS filings, MA DOR filings and assisting with closings
Submission of documents for filing with State and Federal agencies, town clerk offices
Performing other paralegal duties and special projects as may be assigned
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience in Massachusetts
Familiarity with MGL c. 183, Land Court practices, and Registry of Deeds procedures
Strong title and closing experience required
Excellent communication and project-management skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred
