Chief Financial Officer

Providence Staffing LLC is seeking a best-in-class Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a well-established personal injury law firm. Responsibilities

Oversee all finance and accounting operations of the law firm
Provide strategic financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to support firm growth
Develop financial models related to case valuation, settlement timing, and cash flow forecasting
Advise executive leadership on financial implications of business decisions and expansion initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and financial controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable federal, state, and local financial and tax regulations
Oversee trust accounting (IOLTA), settlement accounting, and case-related disbursements
Manage internal controls, audits, and financial reporting processes
Oversee tax planning, filings, and coordination with external CPAs and auditors
Monitor and manage financial risk, including case costs, expenses, and contingent liabilities
Manage firm cash flow, including forecasting settlement inflows and operational expenses
Oversee banking relationships, lines of credit, and access to capital as needed
Ensure appropriate liquidity to support payroll, marketing spend, and case costs
Provide ongoing analysis of revenue trends and expense management
Prepare and present financial reports to ownership and executive leadership
Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making
Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Managing Partner and leadership team
Oversee benefits administration, including 401(k) reviews, healthcare renewals, and business insurance
Manage relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, banks, and financial vendors
Support HR leadership with compensation planning and financial benchmarking

Required

5+ years of experience as a CFO or senior financial leader within a law firm or professional services organization
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
Strong understanding of contingency-fee revenue models and legal financial operations
Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and cash flow management
Proven leadership and team management skills
High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail

Preferred

MBA preferred
personal injury experience strongly preferred
CPA is a plus but not required
