Responsibilities

Provide vision and leadership for the Claims team aligned to company strategy
Drive operational excellence through metrics, process improvement, and performance management
Partner closely with Underwriting, Risk Control, Actuarial, IT, and other teams to address trends, exposures, and reserving insights
Lead talent development, engagement, and succession planning across the department
Use analytics and emerging technology (including AI/automation) to improve efficiency and outcomes
Ensure claims operations meet all regulatory and compliance requirements
Manage department budgeting and cost control while supporting financial goals
Elevate the customer experience using satisfaction metrics and continuous improvement initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, or related field
10+ years of Property/Casualty claims experience, including leadership at a management level
Strong strategic, analytical, and operational leadership skills
Proven ability to lead teams through change and transformation
Deep understanding of claims laws/regulations and risk management practices
Experience improving claims processes, controlling costs, and managing multimillion-dollar budgets
Excellent communication skills across all levels and external partners

Preferred

AIC, CPCU, or other industry designations preferred
