Sales Analyst
York Building Products is a trusted leader in the aggregates and building materials industry. They are seeking a Sales Analyst who will convert high-volume transactional data into actionable insights, collaborating with various teams to enhance pricing, forecasting, and overall sales performance.

Responsibilities
Analyze sales volume, revenue, and gross margin by product, quarry, customer, and delivery method (FOB vs. delivered)
Track tons sold by end-use segment (ready-mix, asphalt, DOT, commercial, residential)
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly shipment trends
Analyze base pricing, freight, fuel surcharges, and margin performance
Support price increase planning and track implementation results
Evaluate delivered vs. pickup profitability and haul-distance economics
Support special pricing requests, bids, and long-term supply agreements
Develop volume forecasts by quarry and market using historical trends, construction seasonality, and project pipelines
Support coordination between sales, operations, and dispatch to align production capacity and logistics
Identify demand risks tied to weather, infrastructure funding, and local construction activity
Segment customers by volume, profitability, haul radius, and end market
Analyze customer concentration, retention, and growth opportunities
Support competitive analysis related to local quarry supply, pricing, and market share
Prepare dashboards and scorecards for sales leadership and quarry managers
Provide data-driven insights for large infrastructure projects and DOT bids
Respond to sales team requests for quoting, reporting, and analysis
Improve data accuracy and consistency across ERP, CRM, and dispatch systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field
2–5 years of experience in sales analysis, business analytics, or commercial reporting
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query); Power BI experience
Experience working with ERP systems and sales datasets
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to clearly communicate insights
Preferred
Experience in aggregates, ready-mix concrete, asphalt, or heavy materials industries
Understanding of freight economics, haul optimization, and quarry operations
Familiarity with DOT bidding, infrastructure projects, and contract pricing
