Payroll Manager
The Forum Group is a top professional services organization seeking a dynamic Payroll / Compensation Manager to support their 800+ employee national workforce. The role involves overseeing payroll processing and administration, as well as managing compensation structures and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multi-jurisdictional populations
Manage payroll systems, records, taxes, garnishments, and reconciliations in partnership with Finance and Accounting
Ensure accurate general ledger posting, payroll liabilities, and reporting for leadership and auditors
Resolve discrepancies, strengthen controls, and continuously improve payroll processes
Design and manage firmwide compensation structures, salary ranges, and pay grades aligned with market data and firm strategy
Lead benchmarking, market pricing, and pay equity analyses to ensure internal alignment and external competitiveness
Develop and administer incentive, bonus, commission, and merit programs
Partner with HR and leadership on pay transparency, wage and hour compliance, and compensation actions (hiring, promotions, merit, and equity)
Qualification
Required
7+ years of progressive experience in payroll administration and compensation management within multi-state and/or professional services environments; bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Deep payroll expertise, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, payroll tax compliance, and multi-state and unemployment tax regulations
Systems-savvy professional proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll/HRIS platforms
Preferred
Dayforce experience strongly preferred
