Photo Management Intern- Summer 2026

Wildlife Conservation Society is offering a Photo Management Intern position for Summer 2026, providing an opportunity to explore archives and digital asset management. The intern will gain exposure to daily activities and long-term goals of the library and archives, learning best practices in managing photos and improving access to current and historical photos.

Responsibilities

Gain exposure to the daily activities as well as the long-term goals of an institutional library and archives
Learn best practices in the management of photos, both current and historical, in the WCS Library and Archives
Learn how to perform new ingesting and keywording workflows to improve access to current photos in WCS's digital asset management system and record information about historical photos according to archival standards
Learn to digitize historical photos in order to improve their accessibility and preservation (as time permits)
