Responsibilities
Manage intellectual property disputes from inception through trial, including patent litigation and post-grant proceedings such as inter partes review (IPR) before the PTAB
Advise clients on risk assessment, litigation and trial strategy, IPR petition strategy and defense
Assist in discovery, including fact and expert discovery, ESI strategy, depositions, and discovery motion practice
Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions, including claim construction, summary judgment, and Daubert motions
Cultivate and expand client relationships, actively contributing to business development and practice growth initiatives
Qualification
Required
Experience with IPR proceedings is required
JD and admission to the MA state bar; CA or NY preferred but not required
Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, ideally from a large law firm or recognized litigation boutique
Demonstrated experience with hearings, trials, and case management
Strong track record of managing intellectual property disputes and managing client relationships
Exceptional writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing, client-focused team
Preferred
CA or NY admission preferred but not required
Experience in other areas of IP litigation, trade secret disputes, and complex commercial litigation is preferred but not required
Portable book of business is not required, but preferred
