Mid-Level Systems Administrator (OAMD)

They are seeking a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to support CDC’s Office of Advanced Molecular Detection enterprise computing environments, ensuring compliance with federal IT standards while managing system maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.

Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Linux and Windows server environments, both physical and virtual
Support clustered and high-performance computing environments, including job scheduling and performance tuning
Perform system patching, upgrades, configuration management, and troubleshooting
Support virtual infrastructure platforms and hybrid cloud connectivity
Manage enterprise storage systems and ensure data availability and integrity
Support backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations solutions
Coordinate with CDC infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and operational alignment
Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
4–6 years of experience in systems administration
Strong Linux administration experience
Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA three (3) days per week (hybrid schedule)
Familiarity with virtualization, enterprise storage, and monitoring tools
Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services
