Responsibilities
Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location
Screen individuals, bags, and shipments entering the facility using site-approved methods and equipment, and report prohibited items or policy concerns per post orders
Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments or delivery documentation, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining required logs
Monitor assigned areas such as lobbies, screening stations, and loading dock approaches for unusual activity, and communicate concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document security-related activities, and conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter as directed
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
X-Ray screening experience is preferred
