Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines, including support for near real-time data where required
Develop and optimize multi-layered data models (e.g., raw, refined, curated) to support reporting, analytics, and application use cases
Create high-quality, well-governed data products and semantic datasets that enable consistent self-service analytics
Deliver data to downstream consumers via APIs and services to support internal tools and applications
Continuously evaluate and improve existing pipelines and datasets with a focus on data quality, performance, scalability, and reliability
Apply strong software engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and change management
Participate in production support activities, including on-call rotations, and take ownership of production outcomes
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional software development experience, preferably within financial services/capital markets
Senior-level experience building end-to-end data solutions in production environments
Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java
Solid understanding of data architecture patterns across ingestion, transformation, storage, semantic layers, and consumption
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred) and modern data warehousing technologies (Snowflake required)
Direct experience designing performant database structures and tuning queries and pipelines at scale
Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., React) sufficient to support internal data-driven applications
Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-expectation environments with strong delivery ownership
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across distributed teams
Background working with financial, market, or operational data in regulated environments
Preferred
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Exposure to business intelligence or analytics engineering, including semantic modeling for BI tools
Experience supporting event-driven or streaming data patterns
Familiarity with asset management, private markets, or investment data domains
Interest or experience enabling advanced analytics or AI-driven data use cases
