Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and/or access concerns within a healthcare location
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, damaged property, and/or policy violations
Monitor access points and controlled areas, assist with visitor check-in directions, and help manage deliveries and contractor entry in accordance with site procedures
Complete reports, log entries, and incident documentation, communicate via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed
Qualification
Required
Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR certification
Alarm panel experience
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet
