Responsibilities
Lead the monthly payroll process for shareholders, including retiree payments, special tax overrides, and adjustments
Review semi-monthly payroll edits
Manage employee wage garnishments, child support, and tax levies processes
Review and process manual checks and wires as needed
Work closely with the Human Resources department for payroll-related issues including benefit premiums, 401(k) deductions and employee leave of absence
Monitor payroll email inbox and respond to inquiries
Work closely with accountant team on payroll reconciliations
Review new hire and status change information updates to the payroll system
Independently resolve payroll discrepancies
Manage PTO balances
Document and maintain payroll procedures as needed
Assist Payroll Manager with quarterly and fiscal year-end Shareholder bonuses
Provide a high level of customer service while maintaining employee confidentiality
Provide ad hoc reports as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, human resources, or related field
Five years of experience with payroll processing
Preferred
Proficiency in UKG Pro payroll system
Proficiency with iManage Records Manager and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Advanced Excel skills
