Human Resources Generalist

Gildan is a leading manufacturer of everyday basic apparel, and they are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to act as a business partner to management and serve as a resource to employees. The role involves managing HR policies, overseeing the employee lifecycle, and maintaining effective relationships within the organization.

Responsibilities

Manages the consistent administration of human resources policies and practices to ensure fair and equitable treatment
Oversees employee lifecycle for assigned facility, including hourly hiring, onboarding, exit interviews and out-processing procedures
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with leadership and employees to carry out key human resources initiatives, communicate important information and address any employee concerns
Conducts investigations to effectively resolve employee grievances and administers any necessary coaching and corrective action
Plans and executes required corporate training and engagement activities for global and sector alignment
Maintains data integrity in personnel files and HRIS system
Coordinates programs and events to foster a culture of employee recognition and appreciation
Ensures that employee records are accurate, complete and legally compliant
Supports goals and objectives of the HR Department on a corporate, regional and local level
Leads metrics tracking and corporate reporting needs for assigned action
Manages human resources projects to meet annual department goals and objectives
Maintains confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards while carrying out all responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Required

University Degree
5-9 Years relevant experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience in utilizing and maintaining a full functional integrated HRIS system (Oracle platform preferred)
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter and able to work independently
Ability to work in a team-based environment
Ability to demonstrate flexibility to changing work priorities
Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings
Vision is required in order to read instructions, interpret data, and formulate metrics
