Legislative Intern - LEGIS-2026-9i

The NJ Department of Environmental Protection is responsible for legislative affairs and seeks a Legislative Intern to assist with various projects. The intern will work closely with staff on researching bills, tracking legislative issues, and attending meetings to support the office's mission.

Drafting responses for referrals
Conducting other special projects in regard to legislative work assignments

Required

Strong written communication skills
Experience researching and working on Legislative Bills
Must be authorized to work in the United States per the Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations
Possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position

Preferred

Individuals enrolled at an accredited university/college studying Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Pre-Law, or Environmental Sciences
