Psychologist Program Manager

The Montana Veterans Health Care System is seeking a Psychologist Program Manager to oversee the Triage and Rapid Evaluation Clinic, Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery program, and Suicide Prevention Program. Responsibilities

Monitoring and updating operations to ensure compliance with standards
Completing all mandatory evaluations and reports
Completing strategic planning and program improvements
Ensuring compliance with EEO policies and program activities
Directly administratively supervising clinical staff of various disciplines within TREC, ICMHR, SP and completing associated activities (e.g., completion of ePerformance, Functional Categories, etc.)
Maintaining good working relationships with Fort Harrison Medical Center ED, Med/Surge Unit, ICU, and other relevant programs
Timely reporting of any significant events through chain of command including writing issue briefs when required
Reporting to hospital leadership or committees on programs as needed
Ensuring program requirements for TREC, ICMHR, and suicide prevention are met
Completion of Human Resource tasks
Providing care within TREC, ICMHR and/or Suicide Prevention Program
Diagnosing mental health and high-risk factors related to suicide and suicide prevention
Completion of required suicide prevention activities
Exercising the full extent of psychologist core privileges
Working with courts for civil commitments and other related civil competencies when indicated
Supervising interns and graduate psychologists
Serving as SME on psychological assessment and psychological interventions for TREC, ICMHR and Suicide Prevention
Provides clinical oversight of suicide prevention program (VCL follow-ups, safety plan, placement high risk flags)

Education: Have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) at the time the program was completed
Internships: Have successfully completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA at the time the program was completed & that is consistent with the assignment for which the applicant is to be employed
Licensure: Hold a full, current, & unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
Experience: At least three years of experience as a professional psychologist, with at least one year equivalent to the GS-13 grade level
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to organize work, set priorities, delegate tasks, & meet multiple deadlines
Knowledge of & ability to utilize evidence based practices & clinical practice guidelines appropriately & ability to guide staff in using these tools
Ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups
Skill in managing & directing the work of others to accomplish program goals & objectives
Ability to translate management goals & objectives into well-coordinated & controlled work operations
Ability to establish & monitor production & performance priorities & standards
Ability to analyze organizational & operational problems & to develop & implement solutions that result in sound operation of the program
