Responsibilities
Drive features that are envisioned from ideation to exploration/validation with customers to launch, including partnering with marketing and finance
Define and evolve the long-term vision for Azure Postgres, aligning with Microsoft’s broader data platform strategy and customer needs
Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and support teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable Postgres services
Ability to technically engage with customers to understand pain points and opportunities, validate their high-scale database solutions and architecture, translating insights into product features that differentiate Azure Postgres
Stay connected with the Postgres community, contributing to and leveraging open-source innovation to enhance Azure’s managed offering
Partner with marketing and field teams to drive adoption, create compelling messaging, and support customer onboarding
Use telemetry, customer feedback, and market analysis to inform decisions and measure success
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
4+ years' experience in relational databases ideally PostgreSQL or distributed systems
3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
2+ years' experience in reading/writing code (Samples applications/demos)
Proven experience driving multiple features from ideation to launch
