Associate Director, Downstream Marketing
Tethered Talent is a leading healthcare technology company seeking an Associate Director, Downstream Marketing to own the go-to-market strategy for a high-growth pharmacy automation portfolio. This high-impact role involves driving commercial growth, customer adoption, and market differentiation across complex healthcare customers.
Responsibilities
Define and execute the downstream marketing strategy for a flagship automation portfolio
Identify, prioritize, and activate growth opportunities across key customer segments
Translate business strategy into executable GTM plans that drive revenue and market share
Lead high-impact omnichannel campaigns to generate qualified demand and pipeline
Own end-to-end launch execution for multiple products annually (high launch volume)
Represent the portfolio at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events
Manage the full product lifecycle from launch through optimization and sunset
Partner with Sales and Commercial Operations to deliver best-in-class enablement tools, messaging, and training
Develop clear, compelling value propositions across clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders
Drive segmentation and positioning strategies to focus sales execution in competitive markets
Support annual marketing planning and portfolio-level brand strategy
Support pricing strategy and promotional execution across capital equipment, consumables, and services
Monitor competitive dynamics and pricing effectiveness; recommend adjustments to maximize adoption and ROI
Gather and synthesize voice-of-customer, competitive, and market trend insights
Convert insights into actionable marketing strategies, campaign direction, and product input
Partner closely with Sales, Upstream Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial Ops, Customer Success, and Service teams
Influence without authority in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
Mentor junior team members and lead cross-functional initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in downstream marketing and/or product management
Proven success leading complex GTM strategies and commercial product launches
Hands-on digital and omnichannel campaign experience (required)
Strong strategic thinking paired with operational execution capability
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree
Experience in healthcare technology, capital equipment, or automation platforms
Familiarity with pharmacy, healthcare operations, or regulated markets
