Postdoctoral Scholar Research
The University of South Florida Libraries is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar Research to join Dr. Blair's lab, which focuses on the role of molecular chaperones in protein homeostasis. The successful candidate will engage in drug development and target validation for chaperone proteins related to neuropsychiatric disorders.

A successful applicant must be dedicated, responsible, detail-oriented, well-organized, efficient, and communicate clearly with other postdocs, graduate students, and research technicians
Position also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, practiced documentation skills, and ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and as a team, set priorities and manage time effectively despite unanticipated interruptions
Willingness to adjust to changes in the workload and change focus as needed
Qualification
Required
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or MD. Ph.D. in a related field from an accredited institution
Must meet university criteria for appointment at the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow
Skill sets that we are particularly interested in are: 1) molecular chaperone biology, 2) mouse models, and 3) neurobiology

Experience with murine studies (treatment, behavior, brain tissue processing), antisense oligonucleotide technology, and cell biology experiments
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Biological or Biomedical Sciences and a strong background in experimental neurobiology
