Responsibilities
Works with staff in the classroom, on the playground, and in field trip supervision. Also works with cook as needed
Assists in keeping classroom facilities clean
Replenishes materials and supplies for classroom activities
Assists staff in preparing snacks
Assists in craft and culture classes
Communicates bus rules prior to boarding and exiting the bus to insure order and safety
Maintains discipline on bus at all times
Assists with boarding children onto and off of the bus, making sure each child is secured in his/her safety harness before departure and remains restrained while in travel
Enforces child drop-off procedures/policies
Assists with any necessary paperwork
Provide childcare during parent meetings and classes
Performs a variety of other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalency
Minimum of six (6) months working with children
Ability to work well with children and staff required
Must be dependable and willing to participate in additional training
Requires TB and Hep B vaccinations and a physical every three years
First Aid certification required
Food handler's card required
Knowledge of and sensitivity to Native American culture required
