Responsibilities
Able to work independently, analyze situations, and make decisions with minimal supervision
Follow NEC electrical code to install and repair electrical systems
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Use schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications provide by the customer or provided for required equipment
Work with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment
Install and repair electrical and control systems
Install power supply wiring and conduit
Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, control systems, lighting, and power supplies
Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
Inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or need for adjustment or repair, and ensure compliance with codes
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on required systems
Utilizes knowledge of electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Five (5) years of commercial/industrial experience
Documentation of completed apprenticeship program for electricians
Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through training and/or experience to perform all duties
Ability to maintain a government security clearance
Ability to pass background and drug screening
Preferred
Previous military / government Logistics experience preferred, but not required
