Stop the Bleed Program Coordinator
The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) is an academic private health system focused on delivering high quality care and innovation. They are seeking a Stop the Bleed Program Coordinator to assist with the implementation and execution of the Stop the Bleed Program, including program coordination, teaching, and partnership development across the state.

Responsibilities
Independently coordinates and sets up new class requests
Leads Stop the Bleed classes for both adult and pediatric populations
Teaches Stop the Bleed Train the Trainer class for new instructors
Tracks class metrics including attendance, zip code, and demographics for reporting purposes
Develops effective working relationships and maintains professional communication both externally, with community partners, and internally, across the organization and system
Identifies and participates in events both internally and externally to represent and promote the Stop the Bleed program
Supports department leaders in other projects as needed including internal and external events
Coordinates with other Stop the Bleed and CIPP team members to ensure coverage and execution of Stop the Bleed program events and trainings
Responds in a timely fashion to external requests and inquiries via phone, email or in person, as appropriate
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred or at least 1-2 years of experience and training in a health-related field (ie. health education, exercise science, nursing tech, etc)
Stop the Bleed course certification required, eligible for Stop the Bleed instructor status per ACS/Stop the Bleed coalition requirements
Valid driver's license required
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently; exceptional organizational skills. Completes work in a timely fashion and with high attention to detail
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills including editing skills are expected
Ability to review data and determine trends. Ability to assist in developing action plans based on the data
Ability to enter data into a database – either Smartsheets and/or Excel to analyze program outcomes and program reach
Effective teaching and presenting public speaking skills are essential
Microsoft Office experience and some medical terminology
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with the community partners and program participants, physicians, health system officials, other health system personnel, vendors and the general public is essential
Evening and weekend work is intermittently required
Access and use of personal vehicle for travel purposes
Preferred
Two (2) to five (5) years of related or internship experience preferred
Current CPR certification and/or Emergency First Aid training preferred
Previous public speaking experience preferred
