Business Deposit Manager
Norconsulting Global Recruitment is seeking a Business Deposit Manager who will oversee business deposit products and related service operations. This role involves generating new business deposit relationships, expanding existing ones, and managing the business deposit strategy to support organizational growth.
Responsibilities
Lead efforts to grow business deposit balances and related services
Develop and implement a comprehensive business deposit growth strategy
Conduct due diligence and evaluate eligibility for new business deposit accounts, including account setup, service enrollment, and approval of ACH credit risk limits
Actively prospect and engage local businesses to establish new deposit relationships
Collaborate with the Business Lending team and branch staff to originate new relationships and deepen current business relationships
Partner with Marketing, Business Lending, and Retail teams to drive coordinated business deposit growth initiatives
Recommend competitive pricing, negotiated fees, and terms to attract and retain high-quality business deposits
Monitor competitor deposit products and market trends; recommend enhancements to rates, features, fees, and terms to maintain competitiveness
Manage third-party vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, renewals, and performance reviews
Research alternative vendors, perform due diligence, complete ROI and cost-benefit analyses, and lead implementation of new business services
Serve as the subject matter expert for business deposit products and services, providing guidance and support to internal teams
Track and analyze business deposit performance and prepare accurate management reports
Stay current on federal and state regulations impacting business deposit accounts; recommend updates to policies and procedures as needed
Demonstrate leadership aligned with the Credit Union’s values, mission, and strategic goals
Oversee deposit operations growth, including interviewing, hiring, and developing staff as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in business deposit sales or origination
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field required
Strong knowledge of business deposit products and services
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills
Proven business development, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Solid understanding of general business operations
Working knowledge of credit union laws and regulatory requirements
Proficiency with computer systems and common business software applications
Preferred
At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred
Banking or credit union experience strongly preferred, particularly within the Houston, TX market
Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
