Economist, People Experience and Technology Central Science
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Economist for their People eXperience and Technology Central Science team. The role involves applying economic methods to address business problems, collaborating with engineers and computer scientists to develop models and solutions that enhance the work experience at Amazon.

Responsibilities
Work with teammates to apply economic methods to business problems
Identify the appropriate research questions
Write code to implement a DID analysis or estimate a structural model
Write and present a document with findings to business leaders
Collaborate with partner teams throughout the process, from understanding their challenges to developing a research agenda that will address those challenges and help them implement solutions
Qualification
Required
PhD in economics or equivalent
Preferred
2+ years of industry, consulting, government, or academic research experience
Knowledge of at least one statistical software package such as R, Stata, Matlab, SAS
Experience in prediction and forecasting in a research or industrial environment
Experience with handling of large datasets
