Responsibilities
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns
Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting assistance, and documenting actions taken
Complete detailed reports and maintain logs of patrol activity, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or public responders when needed
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree is required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
