DKC is a dynamic communications agency seeking a Vice President for their Consumer Lifestyle Team. This leadership role involves driving strategy and managing a team while working with a diverse range of clients from startups to established brands.

Responsibilities
You will manage clients and a team; comfortable with a roster of 6-8 accounts
You’re a natural storyteller and understand how to create sophisticated narratives for different audiences
You have an established network of go-to media contacts with the ability to place a feature story, score a commentary opportunity, negotiate an exclusive and build a choreographed launch plan
You can develop and present a strategic memo or plan that aligns with the client’s immediate priorities and long-term goals
You love to flex your creative muscle and think like a marketer
You’re a strong writer and equally proficient editor
You will have enthusiasm for the hybrid work environment and understand the value of collaboration and team work
You show a passion and confidence in successfully navigating the evolving consumer landscapes
You enjoy counseling and advising clients on overall strategy, category challenges, opportunities and trends
You have a proven track record of developing and executing holistic PR strategies that utilize the full scope of the communications mix, including media relations, influencer outreach, talent relations, thought-leadership campaigns, celebrity and/or brand partnerships / collaborations and experiential activations (events)
You have experience working as part of an integrated team, representing the PR POV while applying big picture thinking across holistic campaigns
You love new business! You can surface opportunities and participate in the process from scouting, brainstorming, proposal development, presenting through agency selection, contracting and new client onboarding
You take great pride mentoring those rising stars on your team

Qualification
Required
10+ years of consumer lifestyle PR experience
Ability to drive strategy and manage a team
Comfortable with a roster of 6-8 accounts
Natural storyteller with the ability to create sophisticated narratives for different audiences

Ability to place a feature story, score a commentary opportunity, negotiate an exclusive and build a choreographed launch plan
