The role involves assisting a team of highway engineers with the design of roadway corridors and preparing designs, plans, and specifications under the direction of an experienced engineer.

Responsibilities

Assist a team of highway engineers with the design of roadway corridors, intersections, and interchanges. This includes roadway geometrics, alternatives analysis, alignment studies, roadside safety evaluations, and crash and safety reporting
Prepare designs, plans, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates under the direction of an experienced engineer
Gather and provide data for the preparation of engineering reports and studies
Perform design calculations and develop design documentation
Develop materials and exhibits for public involvement

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must possess basic knowledge of production software
Must possess solid oral and written communications skills
