Responsibilities
Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of a product
Manage a team of Product Owners and Product Specialists focused on building out NBCUniversal’s Media Asset Management and File Distribution platforms
Define, rollout and enforce best practices in the areas of requirements capture, story management and end-to-end testing of features
Measure quality of stories through the agile process keeping focus on acceptance criteria, documentation and operational test cases
Develop and lead long term vision and strategy across the Product portfolio using cloud native tools and industry standard technology
Take ownership of the Product & Development reliability metrics for executive review
Drive process improvements through structured training while upholding a high standard driven though employee scorecards
Work with client user groups to ensure operational needs are being appropriately met
Support software development project management, Agile, Scrum, as needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
Minimum 3+ years' experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
Minimum 3+ years' experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management
Preferred
Minimum 3+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
At least 4 years of direct client engagement experience
Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
Experience with Agile methodology
Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative
Strong decision-making skills with minimal supervision, leveraging technical expertise to interpret complex problems and deliver optimal solutions
