IT Associate (VOLUNTEER)
The Sentinel by Yuvoice is seeking a skilled volunteer IT Associate to join their technology support team. This role focuses on ensuring seamless technology operations through comprehensive technical support, cloud administration, and user management, while contributing to organizational technology goals.

Responsibilities
Provide technical support for personal computer software and troubleshoot user issues
Test programs, diagnose problems, and implement corrective action procedures
Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate support levels when necessary
Serve as the first line of contact for the IT department
Administer user accounts in Google Workspace, Slack, and other cloud-based tools
Manage DNS records, including email-related entries (MX, DMARC, DKIM, SPF)
Maintain and optimize cloud-based and SaaS tool configurations
Act as customer liaison for computing operations, resolving problems and concerns
Provide clear technical guidance and support to staff, students, and faculty
Develop and test user documentation for systems and procedures
Collaborate with software vendors to resolve equipment failures and technical problems
Assist with complex technical projects and system implementations
Monitor and coordinate system operations to ensure optimal performance
Contribute to departmental goals by accomplishing related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
College degree strongly preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic familiarity with Google Workspace management (willingness to learn acceptable)
1-2 years of customer service experience in a technological environment
1-2 years of hands-on experience administering Google Workspace
1-2 years of experience managing DNS records, particularly email configurations (MX, DMARC, DKIM, SPF)
Knowledge of various hardware, software, and operating systems
Basic understanding of network protocols and computer applications
Comfortable with cloud-based and SaaS tool administration
Ability to volunteer 10-15 hours per week
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent communication skills for technical training and user support
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Customer service-oriented approach to technical support
Attention to detail in documentation and system administration
