The intern will assist with various tasks in the vineyard and winery, ensuring high-quality production while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and on-going cleaning of harvest equipment such as crush pad equipment, presses, tanks, barrels, hoses, pumps, etc
Collect grape samples in the vineyard for maturity analysis
Assist in grape receival and fruit sorting on the crush pad
Perform punch downs and pump overs on fermentation vessels in the winery
Safely operate mechanical equipment
Collect Brix and Temperature data from fermentation tanks and accurately record this data on fermentation charts
Collect must and wine samples from tanks and barrels for the laboratory
Other duties may be assigned depending on winery needs
Qualification
Required
Strong work ethic and interest in wine
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, but can also work independently
Ability to lift 50lbs, stand, bend, and walk on a regular basis, occasionally climb ladders and catwalks
Maintain a regular, full-time schedule that includes overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
Hold a valid driver's license and possess a clean driving record
Preferred
Previous experience in winemaking or cellar operations, especially during the harvest season
Spanish language proficiency
