Gifts & Contract Financial Analyst (FINANCIAL ANL 2 CX)
UC Davis Health Informatics is seeking a Gifts & Contract Financial Analyst to provide analytical support for the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. This role involves managing financial organization, administration, and analysis related to gifts and endowments, as well as overseeing contract management and providing critical thinking solutions to complex data problems.

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or finance or equivalent experience
Experience using Excel to perform complex financial analysis including Pivot tables and VLOOKUPS, word processing, email, web-based software and on-line financial and payroll/personnel systems
Accounting experience analyzing, approving and recording financial transactions; and verifying appropriateness of expenditures
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, along with attention to detail to independently gather information, analyze complex data and formulate summaries on accounts based on data analysis; anticipate and identify problems, perform research, and develop solutions to specific problems
Ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high-volume environment, adapting to changing priorities when needed
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to prepare clear, accurate correspondence and reports; and to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally in person, by phone and by email to entire department
Provide leadership and decision-making skills to participate in recruitment, selection, and training of personnel
Preferred
Experience in Aggie Enterprise, Cognos and Veterinary Medical and Administrative Computer System (VMACS)
Experience interpreting and applying University and campus policy and procedures, specifically accounting practices and procedures; extramural funds and business contracts
Experience working in a university setting. Knowledge of UC clinical education organizations, respective roles, financial policies and practices as they relate to business operations including budgeting, accounting, extramural funding, business contracts, purchasing, payroll, personnel, and contracting
