Responsibilities

Perform precision rework of complex multi-layer PCBA's, including soldering and rework of fine-pitch components under microscope
Support prototype builds for engineering teams, including board bring-up assistance and functional verification testing
Use and maintain rework equipment including soldering irons, hot-air stations, microscopes and thermal tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, reliability, test and operations) to develop processes for prototype builds, test, failure mode identification and troubleshooting playbook through various experimental set-ups and systems
Document learnings and failure modes, analyze data and communicate to cross-functional teams to drive product changes into future builds to track and to execute incremental improvements

Required

Proven track-record of hands-on technical assembly, troubleshooting and diagnostic experience, specifically working directly with highly complex PCBA's and electronic assemblies
Experience in teardown, diagnostic and troubleshooting of complex manufactured assemblies
Familiarity and experience using hand tools, automated equipment or both for manufacturing of finished assemblies
Ability to read and interpret design drawings for critical quality and assembly features to translate into execution
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to navigate ambiguity and complete ownership of change management through various product iterations and experiments
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with frequent standing, walking and bending

Preferred

Demonstrated strong electrical aptitude
Experience with power electronics measurement equipment - oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, hipot
3D Printing, CNC, Laser Cutting, Milling/Drilling, CATIA, Solidworks experience a plus
Experience in PCB, wiring and/or sheet metal fabrication a plus
Prior experience in an R&D, NPI or similar environment preferred
