Accounting Clerk
Amrize is the world’s largest manufacturer of custom-fabricated commercial roofing solutions, and they are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their Duro-Last team. The role involves managing accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and providing customer service support.

Responsibilities
Post customer payments and adjustments to the AR sub ledger
Ensure accuracy of payments posted and account adjustments
Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff
Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
Assist with customer service items including waivers, invoices, statements and many other customer requests
Review customer accounts and contact delinquent account holders to request payment
Assist with tax exemption verifications to ensure proper tax credits are executed
Maintain records for the yearly audit for all cash postings (cash logs, payment copies, payment remits, etc)
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
Ability to negotiate
Strong customer service skills
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test
