Senior Manager, General Engineering

Responsibilities
Resolve highly complex technical projects and issues requiring creativity and ingenuity in supporting airline operational requirements, formal certification reports, and design changes
Develop standards, processes and methods and provide guidance to staff to help the team provide solutions, build capabilities, and continuous improvement
Leads projects for productivity improvement
Provide guidance to a team of junior and senior engineers on requirements, regulations and standard work related to the development and approval of repair solutions
Perform mechanical engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines and relate aircraft structures
Perform research, design and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes, applying advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
Formulate structural analysis of components and define, direct, and document structural test efforts to assess the structural integrity of metallic and non- metallic products
Handle escalated and unresolved customer issues
Addresses complaints, issues, and other complex inquiries directly with customers
Provides guidance and recommendations on how to resolve customer situations
Provide technical review of customer damage reports to determine repair options
Will supervise 4 reports, including a Principal Engineer, Structural Engineering, Principal Engineer, Design Engineering, Principal Engineer, General Engineering and a Senior Engineer, General Engineering
Qualification
Required
Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field and 10 years of progressive experience as a Stress Analyst or related role working on aircraft or nacelle structural components
In the alternative, at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field and 7 years of experience as a Stress Analyst or related role working on aircraft or nacelle structural components would be acceptable
Must possess at least 7 years of experience with repair analysis of aircraft Nacelle Structures metallic and/or composite structures
Must possess at least 7 years of experience with static and fatigue analysis of aircraft nacelle structures and mechanical/aerospace FEA tools (Patran/Nastran)
Must possess at least 7 years of experience with maintenance, repair, overhaul, and regulatory requirements in the commercial aircraft industry
Must possess at least 2 years of experience leading a technical team
Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future
