Responsibilities
Advise on intricate coverage strategies for massive claims, from initial analysis through appeals
Manage discovery and motions in nationwide toxic tort and products liability disputes
Draft persuasive briefs and argue summary judgments aiming for early resolutions
Negotiate high-exposure settlements in mediations and international arbitrations
Prepare and support trials in prolonged, complex proceedings involving experts and multi-party insurers
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in New York
2+ years of experience in insurance defense or litigation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Experience with drafting legal documents and briefs
Familiarity with discovery processes and litigation procedures
Preferred
Experience in environmental law or toxic torts
Prior experience in a law firm setting
Knowledge of reinsurance law
Strong negotiation skills
Experience with trial preparation and support
