Responsibilities
Lead the creation, governance, and lifecycle management of all bakery documentation, including SOPs, Work Instructions, OPLs, and process maps
Ensure operational documentation meets regulatory, food safety, GFSI, customer audit, and internal compliance requirements
Translate complex bakery processes into accurate, clear, and user‑friendly visual and written materials
Develop and maintain training content within the Alchemy LMS, ensuring alignment with safety, compliance, and operational excellence
Partner with cross‑functional teams to document new equipment, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
Coach supervisors and subject matter experts on documentation quality, standards, and technical communication best practices
Support audit readiness and continuous improvement by identifying documentation gaps and recommending structural improvements
Qualification
Required
4–7 years of technical writing experience in manufacturing, food production, engineering, or quality environments
Proven experience developing SOPs, Work Instructions, and visual documentation for production settings
Strong understanding of GMPs, food safety standards, and manufacturing workflows
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional documentation projects and train SMEs
Proficiency with learning management systems (Alchemy preferred)
Exceptional writing, editing, interviewing, and process‑analysis skills
Expertise using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and visual‑content tools
Preferred
Experience in bakery manufacturing or CPG food operations
Certification or training in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar CI methodologies
Experience managing site‑level documentation governance programs
Bilingual English/Spanish
Experience supporting audit readiness for customers, regulatory, or internal audits
