InternUnion Bank & Trust is seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Commercial Banking Intern for the Summer of 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience in the commercial banking industry, providing exposure to credit analysis, financial modeling, loan structuring, and client relationship management.

Responsibilities
Assist in analyzing financial statements and key ratios
Support relationship managers in managing client portfolios and conducting industry and market research
Participate in client meetings and internal strategy sessions
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation for internal and external use
Learn the fundamentals of commercial lending, risk assessment, and compliance regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as credit, treasury management, and operations
Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training: follow internal processes and controls as required
Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
Previous internship or coursework in finance or banking
Familiarity with financial statement analysis or credit underwriting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Interest in commercial banking and client relationship management
Preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High discretion when handling confidential information
